Booking a Room

Convention attendees are responsible for making their own room reservations at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes. USTFCCCA convention rate rooms are available on a first come first serve basis, however, the reduced room rate of $119.00 per night is only available if you secure your reservation prior to the November 27, 2009 deadline. The USTFCCCA room rate is available to attendees from December 10th - 20th, 2009 based on availability.

Need a Roommate?

The USTFCCCA has launched a new service for the 2009 Convention. Roommate Request was launched to help attendees seeking roommates for the convention to contact each other. An online form is set up at the link to the right to capture the relevant information needed.

Attendees will be responsible for contacting the possible "roommate" and making arrangements for your stay. Only those interested in being contacted by potential convention roommates should fill out the form. The USTFCCCA reserves the right to refrain from posting requests that are not of a serious nature.

Our Professional Guide will pick you up at the front of your hotel and shuttle you to one of our picturesque lawns for in depth Fly Fishing instruction. For the more experienced anglers pond side instruction is available.

Fly Fishing on Shingle Pond from Hyde Drift Boats

For a true Fly Fishing Experience our Professional Guide will pick you up at the front of your hotel and shuttle you to picturesque Shingle Pond located at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club. Enjoy a three-hour excursion Fly Fishing for Largemouth Bass from Pro Series Hyde Drift Boats with tours leaving early morning or late afternoon.

Full Day Orvis Fly Fishing Seminars

NOTE: Saturdays Only
Spend an entire day at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club with our Professional Guide learning all aspects of the art with our Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Program. Inside instruction, combined with outside casting, culminating in an afternoon fishing excursion on Shingle Pond. The food will amaze you as well!

Group Fly Fishing Seminars

A three-hour view into the art of Fly Fishing. Family and Corporate groups are welcome for a classroom seminar and dry-land casting training provided by our own Professional Guide.

Private Guided Eco-Tours on Shingle Creek

Traveling back in time on Shingle Creek, guests will enjoy a three-hour Guided Canoe and Kayak Eco-Journey. Our Water Guides will tell you the story of Shingle Creek and all its inhabitants while paddling through scenic old Florida. Includes use of all water craft, equipment, and safety gear for your travels.

• All excursions take place right here on Grande Lakes Property
• Guests will not need any special equipment to experience an outing except comfortable clothes and a spirit for adventure.
• No licenses are required to Fish on our Private Waters here at Grande Lakes
• All Fishing is Catch and Release
• All trips are guided and all fishing must be done with a guide
• All trips take place rain or shine but the golf course early warning lightning system will be used for safety
• Guests may cancel trips based on weather with no penalty
